Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and old Boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a fan of Tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of theatrical performance. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. As a student and being a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. Following her move to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local projects, both as a teacher and performer because of her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly for the young generation to keep this tradition alive.
